Client Solutions Manager

The Client Solutions Manager must have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to learn the community college landscape and will be at the center of serving client partnerships within the community college market. This role is largely responsible for actively managing and serving as the internal sales lead for current community college clients engaging in Carnegie’s CLARUS digital marketing solutions. Other responsibilities will include being able to prospect for new sales opportunities across campus, network at conferences, and prospect for new sales opportunities.


  • Client Relationships
    • Own relationships with clients in conjunction with Account Management team  while developing a deep understanding of their goals and priorities in order to extend and expand partnerships over time 
    • Work seamlessly with the Account Management team to ensure a positive client experience
    • Maintain client contract data and renewal dates
    • Proactively communicate on a quarterly basis with all clients to identify new sales opportunities and ensure account renewals
  • Sales 
    • Design and implement a strategic sales plan for a portfolio of clients
    • Prospecting new business opportunities through researching and identifying potential clients
    • Cultivate consultative relationships with clients and package integrated solutions
    • Effectively and proactively manage sales pipeline, proposals, and contract processes
    • Meet or exceed annual sales goals


  • Demonstrated expertise in higher education enrollment management and/or marketing, preferably at a community college or regional college or university 
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability to identify growth opportunities and develop effective sales strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to collaborate with business development leadership to identify opportunities and processes that support sales growth 
  • Flexibility to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, prioritization skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to build and nurture client and employee relationships
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills 
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes, adapt to changing processes and technologies, and receive constructive feedback
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google tools (Slides, Docs, Sheets)
  • Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
  • Physical ability to be in a stationary position at a desk and work at a computer for prolonged periods


  • Bachelor’s degree; Communications, Business, Marketing, or Advertising preferred, or commensurate experience
  • Experience working in a marketing, communications, or sales environment
