Director, Client Solutions

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director, Client Solutions to join our passionate new business sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for actively prospecting and selling our comprehensive suite of marketing solutions to colleges and universities within an assigned area of focus. This role demands a strong understanding of the higher education sector, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within the designated area of focus. 
  • Engage in daily prospecting activities with the goal of setting up 5-10 exploratory calls weekly. 
  • Leverage sales prospecting tools and report on effectiveness on a regular basis. 
  • Conduct in-depth market research and identify potential leads and prospects in the higher education sector, including colleges and universities.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand the unique marketing needs and challenges of each institution and present tailored solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations that effectively showcase the benefits and features of our marketing solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including activity reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline management, using the company’s CRM system.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and expand the network within the higher education sector.
  • Continuously strive for professional and personal development by staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in both the marketing and higher education industries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and concepts, particularly in the context of the education industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct engaging and persuasive presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant sales and marketing tools.
  • Slate experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed (8-10 weeks a year)

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably within the education or marketing sector.
