Senior Brand Strategist
The Senior Brand Strategist leads integrated project teams in delivering on strategic client needs, serving as trusted, go-to experts for both clients and colleagues. Gathering key data through Carnegie’s proprietary methodology and best practices, they ensure strategies are well-informed and aligned to meet client goals and generate outcomes to ensure client success.
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement and Lead Strategist
- Lead on-site client engagements specific to RMS products and services
- Take responsibility for on-site client engagement experience and outcomes
- Facilitate workshops, audits, creative blitzes, and the creation of diverse strategy deliverables
- Interface with campus leaders in formal and informal settings to create and maintain client relationships
- Guide clients and colleagues through a holistic understanding of client needs
- Data Analysis, Strategy, and Storytelling
- Gather data to develop well-informed and effective strategic outcomes
- Define strategic insights and recommendations based on accumulated research data
- Deliver presentations and lead client-side meetings via Zoom and on location
- Translate the vast amount of data and intelligence gathered during client engagements to help inspire inventive creative outcomes and ongoing client work
- Bring insights to and collaborate on research and creative solutions for clients
- Develop clear deliverables that inspire exceptional standards across integrated teams
- Understand how seemingly disparate data coalesces to bring unusual insight
- Cross-Company Collaboration and Leadership
- Oversee cross-disciplinary contributions to achieve holistic results
- Research clients, markets, and consumers to understand environments, challenges, and objectives
- Solve problems of all varieties in a self-sufficient and collaborative manner
- Collaborate with Client Success leaders and inform them of intelligence developed during client engagements
- Stay educated on trends and developments in higher education enrollment and marketing
- Assist Sales and Business Development team members in the creation of case studies relevant to RMS products and services
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in the development of strategic outcomes to benefit institutions or clients
- Ability to understand the needs of clients, consumers, and target audiences by processing large amounts of information and summarizing it effectively
- Ability to collaborate exceptionally well in driving client outcomes and creating a foundation for client continuity by understanding how to recognize opportunities to extend accounts and relationships
- Ability to inspire confidence in V- and C-level executives
- Exceptional presentation and client management skills
- Outstanding strategic thinking and communication skills
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Drive to help others succeed and bring unity to many moving parts
- Insight to identify problems and take measures to rectify them
- Resilience to work across several projects and balance a workload
- Enthusiasm for research, modeling, strategic marketing and enrollment, creative, and higher education
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (at a minimum) in a related field
- At least 12 years of experience in enrollment, marketing, strategic communications, or some combination at an institution of higher education or higher education agency, or within a related industry
- Proven results in leading strategic projects and interdisciplinary teams with a vast array of demonstrated success
