Slate Graphic Designer

Carnegie is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Slate Optimization Division. The ideal candidate will be a highly creative and driven individual, eager to bring the latest design trends to the world of higher education. Responsibilities include creating digital and print marketing materials in a timely and consistent manner, closely following the client’s brand guidelines. Creativity, organization and strong professional communication skills are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing execution of creative projects including but not limited to email campaigns, print mailers, digital ads, website design and social media content. 
  • Working in conjunction with team members to develop and refine concepts, campaigns and creative ideas that reflect a deep understanding of the target audience.
  • Participating and contributing in brainstorms, meetings and presentations.
  • Ensuring brand guidelines are accurately represented in all design work. 
  • Analyzing, reviewing and reporting on the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Vice President – Creative.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills:

  • 3+ of experience in graphic design 
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Functional knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Clear understanding of typography, layout, color theory and design fundamentals

Preferred Skills

  • Web content management or Slate experience a plus 
  • Higher education knowledge a plus
  • Adobe XD experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking, prioritization and decision-making skills
  • Ability and willingness to expand technical skills
  • Self-motivation
  • Ability to function as an equal partner in a small autonomous team
  • Friendly and easy-going, comfortable in a casual office environment
  • Responsive and clear communications style
  • Must be able to handle a variety of clients/projects simultaneously‍
  • Interpersonal skills to positively collaborate with team members and represent the company to clients
