Slate Project Coordinator

The Carnegie’s Slate Optimization division is looking for a highly organized and driven professional to support the day-to-day operations of the account management team and the project management teams. This is an operational role that helps to facilitate project timelines and launches for client accounts and support the AM and PM teams with internal tasks and special projects. 


  • Supports Slate Account Managers and Project Managers with operational tasks, client work, scheduling meetings, and various project-related initiatives
  • Ensures effective communication with the client and internal teams to define client needs and/or respond to concerns in a timely fashion
  • Masters the use of Asana, effectively and autonomously assigns out tasks to the proper team members, and helps manage the workflow of those cards and overall client boards to ensure client deadlines and turnaround times are met
  • Coordinates client projects from client onboarding and project planning to completion
  • Quality control of communication strategy, design files, and client satisfaction
  • Monitors client email correspondence for approvals and asset collection to proactively move projects forward
  • Manages the creative development process for new and existing projects, including creative requests, appropriate proofing, internal and client routing, gathering approvals, and pushing through to production or internal teams
  • Works with the Slate AMs to ensure that the Slate team meets deadlines and launches campaigns on time while meeting the defined strategy and goals of their clients
  • Share weekly check-in call agendas with client and/or Carnegie team members via Asana
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes from weekly client calls in collaboration with the division members via Asana
  • Maintain relationships with Carnegie’s partners


  • Ability to work under pressure and organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Marketing or Advertising
  • One year or less of demonstrable success in project management (or relevant experience)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability and desire to support team workflow and project management
  • Knowledge and interest in the higher education space a plus
  • Prior project management experience a plus
  • Outgoing, dynamic personality and ability to communicate effectively across teams and all levels
  • Strong writing and communication skills a must
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and flexible with process changes
