Slate Project Manager

Carnegie’s Slate Optimization division is looking for a highly organized and driven professional to provide support to the Slate Account Managers and the full Slate team to ensure client work is done in an efficient manner. The Project Manager acts as the project lead to help onboard clients, move projects through from beginning to end, and ensure turnaround times are met, along with client deadlines and goals. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all account tasks, resources, deadlines, accuracy, and coordination between internal team members, including clients that span across multiple divisions at Carnegie
  • Owns the full project life cycle with minimal additional support or direction
  • Ensures internal teams have all assets and information they need in order to do their work successfully
  • Creates open lines of communication with the Slate Account Manager as it relates to internal team updates or task delays
  • Liaises with internal teams and acts as the project lead
  • Ensures effective communication and serves as the primary liaison between the Slate Account Managers and internal departments to define client needs and/or respond to concerns in a timely fashion
  • Partners with Slate Account Managers on operational tasks and various project-related initiatives
  • Masters the use of our project management system, effectively and accurately assigns tasks to the proper team members, and manages the workflow to ensure client deadlines and turnaround times are met
  • Coordinates client projects from client onboarding, project planning, creative development, and set up to launch and completion
  • Manages creative development for new and existing projects, including creative requests, appropriate proofing, internal routing, and pushing through to outside vendor production or internal teams upon client approval
  • Responsible for final review and quality control of client deliverables and troubleshooting problems as needed
  • Client communication through Asana regarding notification of live campaigns or assets needed, as well as support when AM is out of the office
  • Builds and maintains relationships with Carnegie’s partners

Qualifications:

  • At least three to five years of demonstrable success in project management (or relevant experience)
  • One to four years of experience in higher education (Admissions preferred)
  • One to two years of basic Slate CRM experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Project Management, Marketing, or Advertising
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability and desire to support team workflow and project management
  • Knowledge and interest in the higher education space a plus
  • Outgoing, dynamic personality and ability to communicate effectively across teams and all levels
  • Strong writing and communication skills a must
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and flexible with process changes
  • Knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and processes, including Asana
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
