Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for recording all cash entries into the accounting system, including recording of customer check and ACH deposits, payroll, vendor payment, etc. Additionally, the staff accountant will be responsible for processing all Accounts Payable and receivable, expense reports, and receipts.

A successful candidate will be responsible for the keeping of financial records, preparing of reports, updating financial information, and providing administrative support to the Finance team.

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant must be familiar with accounting procedures and have experience with accounting software programs. This position requires extreme confidentiality and comfort in handling sensitive information.

The position requires the employee to be in the Westford, MA Carnegie office at least 3 days a week, the other 2 business days, the employee can work remote.


  • Enter cash transactions into accounting system
  • Record customer check and ACH deposits
  • Process vendor payments via check and ACH
  • Perform remote bank deposits
  • Process Accounts Payable vendor invoices
  • Process billing adjustments and refunds
  • Conduct phone calls and emails with customers and vendors
  • Assist billing team with invoicing and collections
  • Assist Finance Team with ad-hoc projects
  • Assist Finance Team as needed during financial audits


  • Bachelor’s degree with prior experience as a accountant or bookkeeper
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and accounting best practices and experience with accounting software
  • Strong math and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and implement areas for process improvement
