The Vice President for Media Solutions supports the SVP, Lead Generation Solutions in overseeing the entire Media Solutions division. This role is responsible for managing the Client Success team, overseeing planning, campaign oversight, and client communications for the group. They are responsible for the development and execution of tactical integrated media programs (e.g., PPC, Social, Programmatic), while also driving cross-team collaboration, innovation and scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Campaign Oversight & Planning
- Directly oversee the Client Success team, ensuring the flawless development, implementation, and optimization of digital media budgets across all paid channels.
- Architect and approve comprehensive digital strategies that highlight Carnegie’s proprietary audience data to achieve clients’ business goals.
- Implement processes to allow the team to efficiently conduct research, analyze performance data, and translate findings into actionable insights—including budget adjustments and optimization strategies.
- Verify that ongoing account maintenance and optimization activities align with campaign goals across all channels.
Planning, Leadership, and Collaboration
- Foster collaboration across the Media Solutions subdivision and provide a strategic vision for future cross-team integrations.
- Consistently seek ways to drive greater efficiency and performance outcomes through improved processes and the integration of new technologies (specifically AI and automation).
- Demonstrate thought leadership by keeping pace with digital marketing trends to share updates internally across subdivisions as well as externally through blog writing and conducting webinars.
- Support staffing and workflow, including individual and team bandwidth/resourcing needs.
Client Interaction & Advisory
- Foster strong client relationships by acting as the executive sponsor and expert partner for key accounts.
- Play a supervisory role by overseeing Client Success Lead’s work on high-value clients, joining strategy calls and pitches as needed to drive retention and confidence.
- Continually evaluate the effectiveness and client experience of reporting and analysis to ensure they meet evolving client needs.
Team Management & Development
- Directly manage the Client Success team and other direct reports across the subdivision, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Lead the onboarding, training, and ongoing mentoring of Client Success Leads, contributing to their professional growth and development.
- Lead with a positive, collaborative approach, helping build a strong culture across the Media Solutions team and providing exemplary mentorship.
- Effectively manage and resolve conflict as needed.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Monitor sales activity and pipeline to identify net new sales opportunities and align planning and resourcing for incoming projects.
- Collaborate with Sales leads to identify areas of workflow and process improvement.
- Support the Sales team to advance their digital knowledge by providing regular updates, training, and strategic responses to FAQs.
- Provide strategic direction and client support as needed to help identify at-risk clients, mitigating non-renewals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing, audience-driven solutions and current market trends
- Clear oral and written communication skills, both internally and externally; can confidently handle tough client conversations when ambiguity may exist
- Comprehensive experience analyzing and reporting on data trends with full understanding of digital marketing KPIs and success metrics
- Expertise in digital media delivery systems across paid search, social and programmatic media
- Deep understanding of media planning and buying operations to influence continued process improvements
- Strong knowledge of of AI and it roll in creating efficiencies in the digital media planning and buying ecosystem
- Experience using and analyzing data visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio and Google Analytics
- Highly skilled with team management and personnel dynamics
- Due to the remote environment, effective communication and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Physical requirement: Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Credentials and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business or marketing
- 7 or more years of digital marketing experience
- 5 or more years experience in managing and skip-level management
- Previous marketing agency experience required
- Previous hands on experience with digital marketing platforms
