Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with hiring managers and internal teams to design and execute effective, inclusive recruiting strategies. This role leads full-cycle recruiting—from sourcing through offer acceptance—while maintaining a positive candidate experience, supporting equitable hiring practices, and contributing insights that strengthen workforce planning and future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Recruiting:
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and recruiting strategies
- Source and engage qualified talent through job boards, social platforms, networking, and direct outreach
- Conduct structured screenings to assess skills, experience, and culture alignment
- Coordinate interviews and ensure a smooth, timely candidate experience
- Communicate consistently with candidates throughout all stages of the process
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to maintain hiring velocity
- Represent Carnegie’s culture and values in all candidate interactions
- Conduct reference checks and prepare/extend offer letters in alignment with compensation approvals
- Collaborate with internal teams to support a seamless transition from offer to start date
- Administration:
- Expectation to spend approximately 50%–75% of the workday in virtual meetings, maintaining a professional presence and communication style
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in Asana and other systems
- Leverage recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, CRM, social media) to attract and engage talent
- Support employer branding efforts (social content, job postings)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Provide timely support to employees and managers on hiring and onboarding topics
- Contribute to workforce planning by sharing recruiting insights and pipeline data
- Improve recruiting processes, documentation, templates, and workflows
- Ensure process adherence and data integrity across all recruiting activities
- Maintain strong hiring-manager satisfaction through clear communication and timely execution
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple searches, priorities, and deadlines with efficiency and urgency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including structured screenings and clear communication with candidates and hiring managers
- Understanding of interviewing best practices, talent evaluation, and candidate assessment
- Ability to work independently with strong follow-through
- Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, and other relevant employment laws
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
- Effective remote-work skills, including digital communication, time management, and comfort learning new platforms
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with accurate documentation practices
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in recruiting, inside sales, HR, administrative, or a related role, or a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Drive)
- Experience with Asana or similar project management tools preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment is a plus
