The CRM Marketing Specialist manages end-to-end development and operations for CRM and marketing automation. This role owns technical infrastructure and creative execution—including copywriting, design, automated journeys, and behavioral triggers. As the primary Iterable administrator, you will translate lifecycle strategy into scalable, data-driven campaign infrastructure across two student-facing brands.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write and Design
- Writes clear, brand-consistent copy for campaigns; design email templates in HTML/CSS; ensure messaging aligns with the student journey and campaign strategy.
- Manage the Iterable Platform
- Architects and maintains advanced multi-object catalog structures; build automated workflows and triggers for the full student engagement lifecycle; ensure platform scalability and deliverability.
- Build and Expand User Tracking
- Implements native Iterable anonymous user tracking; integrate proprietary CDP tools and custom data sets; develop event-based triggers to expand engagement.
- Campaign Management
- Monitors performance and provides data-driven recommendations for optimization, A/B testing, and segmentation; execute partner and client email fulfillment.
- Maintain Operational Standards
- Document CRM workflows and best practices; ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA; partner cross-functionally with Analytics, Product, and Engineering.
- Grow Technical Capabilities
- Develop working knowledge of advanced Iterable features including catalog builds, anonymous user tracking, CDP integration, and event-based triggers. Comfort with learning technical concepts and applying them in a marketing context is essential.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Technical
- Experience with email marketing platforms required; Iterable experience strongly preferred

- Ability to write concise marketing copy and design production-ready emails with a strong eye for visual hierarchy and accessibility.

- Proven ability to analyze performance data to troubleshoot technical issues and inform marketing strategy; ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy.

- Meticulous attention to detail; strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to operate independently and manage time in a remote environment.
- Due to the remote environment, effective communication and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis

Credentials and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent life/work experience
- 3 to 5 years of CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation experience
- 1 to 3 years of Iterable experience specifically
- Demonstrated copywriting, email design,A/B testing and data privacy regulations
