About the Role

The Slate Developer, Custom Portal Solutions builds and maintains the web tools that power Slate Portals for Carnegie’s client institutions. Working on the Slate Implementations team, this person turns project requirements into clean, working code, building responsive portals and front-end tools that help partner schools run their enrollment work.

This role works closely with Slate Strategists and the Client Delivery team, applying new tools and technologies along the way to keep solutions fast, secure, and easy to use.

What You’ll Own

  • Quality Assurance
    • Test throughout the project for visuals, accessibility, browser compatibility, UX, and whether the build matches the spec.
    • Review code and troubleshoot issues for teammates when needed.
  • Slate Portal Projects
    • Build and maintain Slate Portals and front-end tools for partner institutions, including Portal Queries, Views, and Methods.
    • Deliver custom Slate-hosted web projects for your assigned client portfolio.
    • Work with Slate Strategists and the wider client team (Project Leads, Project Managers, Sales, and Creative) to keep projects running smoothly and accurately.

Why This Role
