Presentation
Your Next Student Won’t Search for You, Their AI Will
Presented by Jeremy Fern, VP, Client Service, and Dave Emerson, AVP, Enrollment Strategy
Thursday, June 11, 10:45-11:45 AM
Students are asking college-search questions in AI-powered tools, changing how institutions are discovered, compared, and trusted. This session will explore admissions’ role in AI search and Answer Engine Optimization, the new digital front door for student discovery. Jeremy Fern and Dave Emerson will examine how AI-generated answers source institutional information, what signals credibility, and where enrollment teams can influence visibility.
Attendees will learn how student questions differ from traditional keyword search, why AI elevates or omits institutional voices, and how admissions content, expertise, and policies shape answers. Participants will leave with practical ways to collaborate across campus and ensure admissions priorities are accurately represented.
