The NAICUSE Summer Workshop provides a collaborative environment for executives representing independent colleges and universities at the state level.

Centered on shared challenges and regional dynamics, the workshop supports leaders as they align policy, advocacy, and institutional priorities in ways that strengthen the collective voice of the independent sector.

Effective leadership in this space requires more than understanding individual institutions—it requires a clear view of how those institutions fit within broader market, policy, and regional contexts.

As part of this workshop, we’re engaging with leaders to explore how institutional “brand truth” can inform not only campus-level strategy, but also collective advocacy efforts.

By connecting state-level insight with institutional positioning, executives can more effectively:

  • Articulate the value of independent higher education
  • Align messaging across member institutions
  • Strengthen regional influence and visibility
  • Support more cohesive, long-term strategic planning
