Details

In this second part of a four-part series in 2026, we’ll use Queries 201 to enter into Slate as relational database. After reviewing the overall structure of Slate behind-the-scenes, we’ll look to uncover all the essentials about extended filters and exports in queries. An intentional and slower-paced section on introducing subqueries versus main-level joins will take up a good portion of our agenda (think: What is the difference? When do I use one or the other?). Like our 101 session, a half hour of this training will be devoted to a workshop where we’ll provide questions to answer using queries, so come prepared to build some queries! Time permitting, we will explore additional categories and bases. Our target audience includes:

  1. Those who attended the 101 session in March
  2. Anyone with a basic understanding of configurable joins queries in Slate who wants to expand their knowledge
  3. Slate captains and leaders who want to learn ways to teach queries to their staff.

Registration is $100 per person, with payment due at time of registration. This event is nonrefundable, but registrations can be transferred to another member of your team and/or credited to a future session.
