As Vice President of Strategic Communications, Deb Fiddelke brings decades of communication experience in situations where reputations are on the line. As Chief Communication and Marketing Officer for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Deb served as a member of the executive leadership team and was responsible for the communication strategies during several high-profile issues related to athletics, Title IX, free speech, student protests, campus diversity, and the university’s response to COVID. Deb and her team also led a rebranding effort for the university, created several national award-winning television PSAs, and enhanced the university’s reputation through new marketing initiatives. Her team received numerous awards for social media and website efforts and led the successful integration of new branding across the university. Deb also brings executive-level government and corporate experience.
