As Vice President of Slate Enrollment Implementations at Carnegie, Laura Bald leads a dedicated team of Slate Strategists in orchestrating complex Slate implementations, audits, consultations, and integrations. Her work focuses on transforming how institutions engage with students by prioritizing functional technology that empowers staff to move past administrative hurdles. By streamlining these operations, she ensures university teams stay focused on what matters most: driving enrollment and supporting student success.

Laura’s expertise is rooted in a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, including a background in developing graduate admissions strategies that ensure every type of learner is seen and supported. Before joining the Carnegie team, she spent seven years at Portland State University within the Graduate Business Programs, where she served as Systems and Admissions Manager and led multiple recruiting system implementations. Laura holds a BA in Philosophy and an MS in Applied Information Management, a combination that fuels her ability to reveal useful insights and translate technical specifications into strategic value. She approaches every partnership with an analytical mindset, grounded empathy, and a sharp sense of humor, helping institutions navigate the “now and next” of higher education.
