As Vice President of Enrollment Operations at Carnegie, Laura Bald leads process design and operational strategy for Carnegie’s Enrollment Division. Her focus is on building scalable systems and streamlining workflows that help Carnegie’s teams work more efficiently and deliver stronger outcomes.

Laura brings deep expertise in higher education operations, including seven years at Portland State University as Systems and Admissions Manager, where she led multiple recruiting system implementations. She holds a BA in Philosophy and an MS in Applied Information Management, a combination that sharpens her ability to translate complex operational realities into practical solutions. She approaches her work with an analytical mindset, grounded empathy, and a sharp sense of humor, always keeping the focus on what makes enrollment operations actually work for the people doing the work.
