Technical Marketing Specialist

The Digital Measurement Specialist is responsible for setting up the conversion tracking (through Google Tag Manager) for clients’ paid advertising campaigns across a variety of platforms, as well as integrating leads generated from paid advertising campaigns with various CRMs via Zapier. Your day to day will consist of working in GTM, Zapier, and facilitating ad platforms to CRM integrations. This includes driving innovation of new integrations and improving existing integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conversion Tracking Setups & Troubleshooting
    • Work closely with counterparts in programmatic display/streaming, social media, PPC, and overall strategy implementation to ensure alignment of campaigns with client goals as it relates to conversions
    • Set up new conversions within various ad platforms, such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and Snapchat
    • Set up new tags/triggers/variables within client’s Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers, testing to confirm accuracy
    • Troubleshoot broken and/or inaccurate conversion tracking
  • Zapier
    • Set up and maintain many Zapier connections of varying complexity between paid advertising platforms with Google Sheet and/or client CRMs
    • Work with paid teams and clients to ensure accurate data capture and transfer 
  • CRM Integration
    • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot all digital-CRM integrations through Zapier to ensure lead capture data is stored and transferred properly
    • Work within various client CRMs: Slate (primarily), Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.
  • Client Interaction
    • May participate in client calls on an as needed basis to troubleshoot and explain more technical problems to clients
    • May need to email with clients directly if the situation arises
  • Internal Team
    • Work collaboratively in a team environment with others.
    • Show thought leadership through contributions in team meetings, including bringing forward ideas around process improvements, new best practices, and ways to test new ideas and services.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of the digital marketing landscape
  • Excellent attention to detail a must
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while simultaneously managing independent workload/tasks
  • Quick learner and ability to adapt to new and changing technologies
  • Data analysis experience preferred, particularly experience analyzing digital campaign metrics to measure success
  • Due to the remote environment, effective communication and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
  • Physical requirement: Prolonged periods of being in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Marketing/Advertising major or Computer Science/Information Systems major preferred
  • 2 years of relevant work/internship experience in the digital marketing space
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot and/or Slate
  • Proficiency with Google Tag Manager required. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads and Zapier experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
