Carnegie Slate Camp is an in-person day-and-a-half training that takes place May 30th and 31st—just before Slate Summit.  We’ll cover key modules used within Slate to develop a solid foundation and understanding of each topic.

What you can expect:

  • A solid foundation of best practices of key modules used within Slate
  • Allotted time to workshop creative solutions to your Slate questions with our Carnegie Slate Optimization team
  • Expansion of their higher education network with colleges and universities attending from across the nation

  • Laura Murnen Senior Slate Strategist + Trainings Manager Persona The Considerate and Adventurous Globetrotter

    As Trainings Manager and Senior Slate Strategist, Laura Murnen and her team run accessible and highly productive Slate training workshops for Carnegie's clients. In her seven years of higher education experience, Laura has dabbled in a variety of roles including event planning, service learning, recruitment, and communications. Prior to joining the Carnegie team, she served as a recruiter and Assistant Director of Communications for the University of Cincinnati, where she was first introduced to Slate and started in the path to her current role. Laura finds joy in empowering partner institutions in their creativity and use of Slate through customized trainings.

    In life, Nick takes a minimalist approach to things. As your Slate Strategist, however, he dives in with enthusiasm to get you the maximum return on investment. Having spent more than five years in college admissions marketing, Nick knows a thing or two about optimizing Slate for each audience. In his spare time, he is a cherry pie and donut connoisseur (not usually together), and enjoys surrealist art.‍

Courtney is motivated by the variety and challenge and is always up for talking about how to use Slate to help your current students.
